Final exams may be over, but the real test for the school’s aviation/aerospace magnet students came after graduation day for Rafael Lopez, Anthony Oraciion, Fidel Arredondo and Aaron Aguilar, who were scheduled for their check-ride for a pilot’s license through TransPac Aviation Academy at Deer Valley Airport. Meanwhile, eight students passed the FAA Private Pilot Written Test, May 18, and they will be student pilot candidates for next year. Nikolas Dowling is the Aerospace Magnet manager. For more information on the program at South, contact Mr. Dowling at dowling@phoenixunion.org, or call (602) 764-5194. A video about students learning to fly was produced by the school’s multi-media magnet here. http://youtu.be/-9llel-kfIY
