South Mountain High School Teacher Dr. Breshawn Harris Enshrined Into the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Hall of Fame

South Mountain High School Reading and College Career and Readiness Teacher Dr. Breshawn Harris was enshrined into the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Hall of Fame, March 13 in Norfolk, VA. Harris was also inducted in Howard University's Athletic Hall of Fame in November 2007. Harris played volleyball at Howard between the years 1991 - 1994. She was one of four athletes (three of whom are NFL players and a retired MLB Player) in the 2015 induction class. During her time at Howard, she led her team to three conference championships, was a two-time conference Player of the Year, and ranked in the top 10 in the NCAA for service aces.Harris is a 1991 Central High School graduate where she was a three-sport athlete playing volleyball, basketball, and running track. As a 15-year PUHSD employee, Harris has coached Varsity Girls Volleyball, Freshman Girls Basketball, and is the founder of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Club - where she takes students to tour and visit Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the south, southeastern, and eastern part of the United States since its inception in 2001.
