Metro Tech’s Future Educator’s Association (FEA) Chapter Competes at the 2015 State Competition and Conference in Tucson, AZ

Metro Tech’s Future Educator’s Association (FEA) Chapter successfully competed at the 2015 State Competition and Conference in Tucson, AZ on March 2-4. Several students attended and the chapter and students won the following awards and distinctions: Metro Tech Chapter: Bronze Level Samantha Melendrez (Trevor Browne) was FEA Student of the Year and placed in three other events, including Public Speaking and Creative Lecture. Tamara Ruiz and Jovanna Espinoza placed 5th in Inside Our Schools event, and Ruiz was named a 2015-2016 State Officer.

These students, who placed in the top five of their category, qualified to compete in FEA’s National Conference and Competition in Washington, D.C., April 21 - 23. Additionally, Melendrez will be presenting a workshop on public speaking at the national conference, as well as campaigning for national office.
