Former Bobcat Football player Trung Canidate Inducted into the University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame

Former Bobcat Football player Trung Canidate, Class of 1995, was inducted into the University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame, November 8 in a halftime ceremony at the Wildcats game with Colorado in Tucson. A four-year letterman at Arizona from 1995-2000, the running back  finished his career as Arizona’s all-time leading rusher, notching 3,824 yards and 25 touchdowns, averaging over six yards per carry Canidate was a two-time All-American and two-time All Pac-10 selection. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft. Canidate played three seasons with the Rams, including their 2002 Super Bowl appearance, before being traded to the Washington Redskins, where he finished his career.
