Over 4,300 seniors graduated May 22 and 23 in 15 separate ceremonies, as over 60,000 friends, family and other guests watched.  Eleven of the graduations took place at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, beginning at 10:30 a.m. May 22, and ending at 9:30 p.m. the next day.  Bioscience and Franklin Police and Fire held ceremonies May 23 at Herberger Theater.  Small schools Bostrom and Suns-Diamondbacks Education Academy held commencement exercises at Trevor Browne and Central High Schools, respectively.   One of the highlights was a Maryvale “flash mob” at the conclusion of the ceremony, when administrators, board members, teachers and students all broke into a synchronized dance to the delight of the crowd.  Schools at the Coliseum were asked to complete their ceremonies in 90 minutes, to keep the fast-paced schedule on time.  Betty Fairfax, the final ceremony on May 22 was in a hurry to wrap up the school year, completing the ceremony in 59 minutes.  Last December, another 211 students graduated mid-year.
